See Why Can Never Go Wrong with Colorbond Roofing

Blog

When the time to build a house for your family comes, roofing is among the critical final stages of the construction process. You aren't through constructing your house before you roof it. However, most people aren't worried about when to roof the house. Their main concern is about which type of roofing should they use. With the different roofing materials in the market today, it's possible for homeowners to get confused when choosing them. Whether you are after value, durability or strength, Colorbond roofing carries the day. Different people like it for different reasons, but some reasons are more incredible than others. So why has Colorbond roofing become so popular these days? Keep reading!

Summer Bushfires Won't Bother You

Some people say metal or steel roofing is not suitable for people living in hot places. Even if you live in an area where the hot sun takes longer to set, metal roofing would still be efficient and reliable for you. Just ensure you use the right colour paint on the roof. Bushfires are rampant during summers especially in the rural areas and also in the cities and towns with a lot of trees. Colorbond roofing wards off summer fires since it's made of materials that don't easily catch fire. It also doesn't allow the embers to lodge under the eaves or in niches, and this keeps your home safe in the case of a fire.

Colour Creates Unique Aesthetic Appeal

You have 22 colours to choose from if you decide to have Colorbond roofing on your house. This type of roofing boosts your aesthetics — whether it's made of weatherboard, vinyl or brick. Everyone is happy when they find colours that suit their styles and comfort. Whether you choose a roof with light or dark colours, ensure you go for one that perfectly defines the shape of your home. The colours bonded in the steel roofing help you to blend your home with the environment if that's your purpose. The colours in Colorbond roofing don't fade because they are already bonded into the steel.

Light But Strong

Some people have always associated strength with weight. This misconception has influenced them to choose the wrong type of roofing, and this costs them a lot of time and money. Colorbond roofing is light, but its durability and strength are indisputable. It doesn't require much support, and it's more suitable for people who like a wider range of styles. This roofing allows you to add an overhang to the back or front of your home to protect your family from sun and rain with little or no infrastructural support.

So you were right if Colorbond roofing is what came into your mind when designing your house. Don't believe the myth that steel roofs are hot since technology has advanced the roofing industry in a big way. This roofing comes with steel-bonded colours that deflect the rays of the sun, allowing your home to stay cooler. Talk with a contractor about Colorbond roofing if this sounds like the right choice for you.

Repairing or Replacing a Roof

Hello, welcome to my roofing blog, my name is John and I live in Alice Springs, Australia. I recently moved out here with my wife and two kids to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. We bought an old farmhouse and are in the process of renovating it. The place needs quite a bit of work. One of the biggest jobs so far has been sorting out the roof. It was missing a few tiles and I couldn't decide if we should try and repair it or if it would be better to have it repaired. Thankfully, my neighbour is something of an expert. He came and inspected the roof and recommended that we replace it. He explain how roofing works and the benefits of using different materials. I have learnt so much, I decided to start this blog.
